Backyard Road Trips

Bad Martha Farmer’s Brewery Falmouth

Let’s head out to Falmouth to Cape Cod’s outpost of Bad Martha Farmer’s Brewery, also known as Bad Martha Beer. Bad Martha’s first brewery opened in Edgartown on Martha’s Vineyard in 2014 to much acclaim. The post-and-beam farm brewery is inviting, whether sitting outside on a warm day among the trees or indoors in cooler weather. Bad Martha Falmouth brings the same aesthetic to this mainland.

“Oh, hey there, sailor!”

Bad Martha Falmouth

The Falmouth brewery is located on Route 28, not far from the Mashpee town line. Similar to the Martha’s Vineyard location, the building itself features the brand’s signature rustic post-and-beam construction, giving it a charming farm brewery feel. Outside, guests are welcomed by an expansive patio area designed for enjoying the Cape Cod weather. This area is typically furnished with picnic tables and comfortable seating, often nestled among trees and landscaping to create a relaxing, shaded ambiance perfect for a warm afternoon. There is ample parking, and the property’s design emphasizes an inviting, casual, and outdoor-centric experience.

The inside of the brewery is just as welcoming. The large space is cozy during the colder months or during inclement weather. Take your pick from a variety of seating options, including those at tables, the bar, and even couches. The space is tastefully decorated, based on the season, with much nautical imagery.

A Range of Beers

Bad Martha brews beer that runs the gamut of all styles. From the ever-popular IPAs to a malty lager, enjoy a pilsner or a stout. Flights are available too if you prefer to sample. Before you leave, stop at the store where you can find such things as beer to go, Bad Martha merch, and even a branded bandana for your canine companion.

While you’re at Bad Martha in Falmouth, make sure to grab a bite too. Their fare includes wings, pizza, salads, and sandwiches.

In through the out door

Whether visiting during the bustling Cape Cod summer season or in the quiet winter months, Bad Martha in Falmouth has a welcoming vibe while hanging out inside or out.
