Salt Raw Bar

If you’re looking for a creative take on the freshest seafood, look no further than Salt Raw Bar in Plymouth. Salt combines an Asian-fusion spin on a seafood-heavy menu. The restaurant is known for its top-notch cocktails, sushi, shareable items, large plates, and desserts.

At Salt, I enjoy one of the creative specialty cocktails, which is tough because their beer menu often features excellent options like Maine Beer’s Lunch and The Alchemist’s Heady Topper. Try their sushi to begin the meal. I like yellowtail sashimi to start. Each bite of the sushi is full of flavor. Oysters are another great way to begin your meal.

Yummy sashimi!

Dumplings are a great choice for sharing as an appetizer. With two varieties to choose from, Farmers Cheese and Pork and Leek, you can’t go wrong with either. Speaking of splitting, for me, it’s hard not to order the Seafood Fried Rice every time I’m at Salt Raw Bar. It’s huge! It is loaded with a vast array of ingredients, including shrimp, blue crab, Chinese sausage, and egg. It’s simply delectable. To finish the meal, try a dessert like the rich, extra-chocolatey Dark Chocolate Miso Cremeux.

Salt is located in the Village Landing shopping center in Plymouth. This resembles a re-created fishing village, with other stores and restaurants, including the Portly Pilgrim, Locally Yours, and Fedele’s Chocolates. Salt Raw Bar is tastefully decorated inside with a large bar. There is also a heated four-season canopied patio so you can technically eat outside, even on Valentine’s Day!
