Buzz Worthy Tunes
Up in the sky, it’s the honeybee symbol, Drew needs help! He was in a bit of a sticky situation. Not wanting to be stung, he buzzed Zack from Backyard Road Trips.

As proprietor of Drew’s Honeybees, he needed a bee-eautiful soundtrack to his apiary. Where to turn? To Backyard Road Trips, of course! Drew’s Honeybees creates the finest all-natural lip and body balm, not to mention delicious honey. But, at Backyard Road Trips, travel planning and playlist making are Zack’s specialties. (Maybe it’s the inspiration from his dad’s weekly-themed radio show, Uncle Ken’s Rummage Sale, on WCNI radio).
This buzz-worthy playlist runs the gamut from songs sweet as honey to angry as a wasp. Bands including the California Honeydrops, the Hives, and Queen with songs from “The Flight of the Bumblebee” to “Honey Don’t Think”. This playlist is fit for a queen…or a worker, whether you’re listening alone or with your honey.
DHB vs BYRT
Ali vs Foreman? E. Honda vs Blanka? Bush vs Dukakis? We’re taking this Drew’s Honeybees x Backyard Road Trips playlist collab out of the hive and into the ring.

This wasn’t the first time Zack and Drew have teamed up for a music collab. The first time? The year was 1995, and the medium was cassette. When Drew asked me to put some of his favorite tracks onto the Buzz-worthy Playlist, I was shocked not to hear Beck’s “Pay No Mind” or “Bad Habit” by the Offspring, as these were among the songs on his first mix tape to me.
This time, though, the once-good friends are now playlist rivals! Punch for counter-punch. This list includes a song of Drew’s choosing countered by a response track by Zack. This feud is hotter than Kendrick and Drake, and the music’s better with tracks by Nina Simone, Charley Crockett, and Amythyst Kiah. Drew originally chose 35 tracks, to which Zack offered a response. The Drew’s Honeybees x Backyard Road Trips playlist is so long it needs its own Time-Life infomercial!
