High Limb Cider

High Limb Cider is one of Plymouth’s newest craft beverage destinations. They make excellent cider which ranges from sweet to semi-dry, with flavors from traditional to funky. High Limb Cider is located in the one-stop entertainment mecca of the G Pub, located in a shopping plaza in West Plymouth. G Pub has sparked this mostly residential neighborhood.

A Little About G Pub

High Limb Cider is located inside of G Pub.

As I said, G Pub is quite the place. Open the doors and you’ll find a large dining room/bar with multiple TVs, featuring a full bar and a restaurant serving pub grub. To the right of the dining room is the High Limb Cidery, with the tasting room up front and the cider production area in the back. To the left of the main room is an arcade. It’s got plenty of excitement for the whole family and has more seating in that area. Attached to this room is the speakeasy. Open the door for a lounge with a smaller bar and a more laid-back vibe. There’s also a cigar bar located on site. Pick your poison. G Pub has got it all.

Behind the scenes

High Limb Cider

Need a four-pack?

As a connoisseur of all things artisanal and from the source when it comes to alcohol, I had to check out High Limb Cider. During each of my visits, I’ve ordered a flight, which to me is the best way to experience the full range of a business. The Core, the “O.G.” and the Honeypot all take a more traditional approach to cider with a range of sweetness, and all are great. You need to find out where your cider sweet spot lies. On the playful “cide” of things, try concoctions such as birthday cake-inspired cider or the “Batch Series” which are influenced by beer.

A Tour of High Limb

Into the taproom

During one visit, I took a tour of where the magic happens. I viewed barrels of aging ciders, tanks where the cider is fermented, and palettes of cans ready to be shipped out. The tour was informative and fun. Our guide was excellent, and we learned how widespread High Limb is distributed. It’s always nice to know how the product you’re imbibing is made and secondly, to see where it all happens. Of course, it doesn’t hurt to sample the cider along the way.

At the taproom

Make sure to visit the taproom at High Limb Cider which is inside the G Pub in West Plymouth Square at 101 Carver Road in Plymouth. For another brewery adventure, take a look at our extensive tour of Two Roads Brewing Company in Stratford, Connecticut.
