Hands down Dillon’s Local in Plymouth, MA is a restaurant you MUST try! The small spot located at 21 South Park Avenue is in a unique location where the downtown meets the waterfront. Dillon’s truly has awesome food.
It’s a comfortable spot. It’s easy to go for a beer and a quick bite or bring the family for a meal. Either way, Dillon’s will be a crowd-pleaser. Their menu includes their own takes on favorite dishes such as salmon, shepherd’s pie, and risotto. With fresh ingredients and unique flavors, Dillon’s Local is familiar yet adventurous.
Favorite Entrees at Dillon’s Local
The Guinness fish and chips at Dillon’s Local is quite honestly the best fish and chips I have ever had. The batter is light and so flavorful. Where many fish and chips are too thick or just taste like batter, this dish is the real deal. The seafood risotto, chock full of shrimp and scallops, is creamy and delicious. Other meals that are worth trying include the short rib grilled cheese sandwich, the mac and cheese, and the salmon.
Brunch
For brunch, my absolute favorite menu item is the Portuguese hash. Instead of typical corned beef, this is made with chorizo, a Portuguese sausage. It is topped with poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce. Each bite of this dish is truly outstanding. Brunch is served on Sundays.
Dillon’s, before Covid, featured live music, including local Irish group The Lindsays. St. Patty’s Day is a lively night that typically pours out onto the patio. The side lot doubled as outdoor seating this summer.
Drinks
Dillon’s Local also has a stellar craft beer menu. New England favorites, such as Mast Landing, Notch, and Mayflower are often available. They are also known for their cocktails and serve local distillery Dirty Water as part of their liquor selection.
