Growlerwerks Ukeg 64

Growlerwerks Ukeg 64

As a beer and brewery lover, there’s nothing better than filling up a growler with fresh beer right from the source. With the Ukeg 64, which holds the same amount of beverage as a traditional growler (64 oz), the beer stays pressurized for a longer time due to the CO2 system it employs. The directions are self-explanatory and easy to use. One word of advice–check your state’s growler policies. For instance, due to a recent change in Massachusetts restrictions, blank growlers (such as this one) can now be filled. Each brewery has its own policy though, and for safety reasons, during COVID growler fills are traditionally on hold. Nevertheless, this is one beer vessel that will keep the craft beer enthusiast glad.

Drew’s Honeybees “Balm of the Gods” lip balm

Drew’s Honeybees Balm of the Gods lip balm

I’m an avid applier of lip balm, especially in the cooler months. I love the lip balm lineup at Drew’s Honeybees. My favorite flavor though is the Balm of the Gods. With its backstory including roots in Aztec and Mayan civilizations, no sacrifice is needed to get your hands on this spicy balm. It has a unique flavor: a mix of chocolate with a hint of pepper. It’s slightly tingly and altogether soothing. For more information about Drew’s Honeybees, read this article

A History Lover’s Guide to the South Shore book

A bear-y good read!

Sure, this may be a little self-promotion, but lovers of Backyard Road Trips in Massachusetts may enjoy reading more about the state’s South Shore region. The book explores each town in the coastal region south of Boston. Each chapter consists of a history of the town as well as historic attractions in each community, most of which are visitable. Any Connecticut readers may enjoy my other titles which feature the Nutmeg State

Legacy- Six Bottle Beer Caddy

Legacy six bottle (or can) beer caddy

Hauling your favorite craft beers to the socially distanced gathering is always a task. Do you go with a cooler or keep the beer on the four-pack holder? It was easier with an old fashioned six-pack container. If you’re bringing a variety of beer, this carrier is stylish and holds bottles as well as cans. The canvas covering drapes over the cans or provides an opening for the bottlenecks to protrude from. Looking for an even better gift idea? Include six beers inside the case!

Beer Lover’s New England guide book

Beer Lover’s Guide to New England

This book, originally released in 2012, was doubled in size for the next printing in 2016. This 2016 printing is a fantastic resource of all things brewery in New England. It lists every (at the time of publication) brewery in each of the six New England states plus cool beer-related events, recipes, pub crawls, great beer bars, and brewpubs. Although if this book were written four years later, it would have quadrupled in size, it still is an excellent tangible resource to the region’s breweries. It is written by Norman Miller, the writer of the syndicated “Beer Nut” column.

Newair 90 can beer fridge

Newair 90 can beer fridge

Sick and tired of not having enough room in the refrigerator for groceries because of your growing craft beer collection? It may be time to invest in one of these. My wife bought an older model of this beer fridge a few years ago and it has even allowed the kids’ milk to be put in the big fridge once again! It has a sleek design and can hold plenty of beer at a 90 can capacity. It’s a marriage saver!
