Best Breweries for a Girls Night

Of all of these brewery guides, for this one I had absolutely no input. It was also one of the most difficult entries, not only because I am a man, but because a few of the responses I got when asked, “What’s your favorite brewery for girls’ night?” the answer was, “I wouldn’t go to a brewery” or “I don’t drink beer unless I’m with my significant other, too many calories.” Wine was mentioned time and time again as a preferred beverage for a girls’ night. But never fear, alas, I was eventually able to find a few recommended breweries for the next girls’ night.

Mayflower Brewing Company

Enjoying a beer at Mayflower in Plymouth, MA

I swear, it seems that every demographic loves Plymouth, MA’s Mayflower Brewing Company! With good reason, the brewery is comfortable and of course, their product is delicious. Mayflower works for girls’ night since the brewery is laid back, there is a large selection, and it isn’t overbearing on the hipster vibe. The brewery is in an industrial park, and the taproom has been tastefully assembled. With ample seating to choose from, an array of games to play, and of course their great beer, this spot is a winner.

Girls night!

Canned Heat Craft Beer

This “it” brewery in the city of Fall River on Massachusetts’ South Coast is a popular spot. Mentioned as a great brewery for a girls’ night, the interior resembles an oversized garage covered in graffiti (albeit tastefully and purposely done graffiti). With beers such as the Hop Boogie IPA and the Suppah New England Style IPA, the beers alone attract a crowd to this former industrial space. For beer lovers on girls’ night, Canned Heat is the place to go. Add this to a night of live music at the Narrows Center for the Arts nearby, and I call that a girls night I want to join!

Taylor Brooke Brewery

One of the more common responses that I heard when surveying the public for this post was wine. I almost scrapped the idea in favor of a winery article! Here’s the best of both worlds. Well-established Taylor Brooke Winery in Woodstock, CT recently opened a brewery onsite. Parties get to choose which establishment they would like to linger at. Granted they serve both beer and wine at either.

The taproom is a large, open space with a rural, rustic look. On a day with nice weather, many folks opt to sip a brew at a picnic table on the patio. Try a flight, a pint, or a glass of wine. It’s the perfect spot for a girls’ night since wine is on the menu. It’s a beautiful location, the taproom is pristine, and the view is serene, overlooking the countryside of the Quiet Corner.

The Best Breweries for a Girls Night

Girls night at Mayflower

If you’re looking for a destination for your next girls’ weekend or girls’ night, these three breweries will not disappoint. Each a little different, with Mayflower’s “Cheers” vibe, Canned Heat’s coolness factor, and the serene beauty of Taylor Brooke, each suits a different need and all are worth a visit for a girls’ night (or any night for that matter). Enjoy!
